The global touring digital film festival RESFEST has been organized in Turkey since 2004 and RESMIX TR is the section that showcases the best Turkish shorts of the year.
The global touring digital film festival RESFEST has been organized in Turkey since 2004 and RESMIX TR is the section that showcases the best Turkish shorts of the year. In 2008, RESMIX TR included two programs put together from a pool of over 400 national submissions: “Turkish Shorts” is a collection of narrative short films and animations; “Turkish Music and Design Videos” is a collection of music videos and design films with a more experimental edge. Starting in 2009, RESFEST Turkey becomes a part of a new festival network called "Festival MODE" organized by the founding team of RESFEST TR in the context of a new film and digital arts initiative MODE ISTANBUL. Festival MODE is an annual showcase of selections from a wide array of film festivals around the world that have a program of innovative and creative shorts, features, animation, retrospectives, music and design videos. The events also include workshops, seminars, talks, exhibitions and parties.
