Penalty / Allard Bekker / 2006 / 1min.
A last minute broadcast refusal by the Dutch public networks – during a soccermatch between the Dutch and Nigerian national teams – triggered this Amnesty commercial to become frontpage news on every Dutch newspaper and abroad.
The international breakthrough of director Allard Bekker.

Chocolade Haas / Lernert Engelberts & Sander Plug / 2007 / 2 min.

Oh Great Now Look What Happened / Thijmen Hauer & Gerbrand Burger / 2007 / 4 min.
A compelling and enigmatic impression of an unexpected and strange event. Contemporary fears and insecurities are channeled intuitively into a four minute visual narration in both stark and powerful images, at the same time heavy-handed and humorous.
Tijmen Hauer and Gerbrand Burger have studied at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy and are both working as artists and filmmakers.

Sanctus / Viola Groenhart / 2007 / 5.30 min.
An apparantly simple registation of an orchestral performance reveals itself as an intrigueing sequence of tableaux vivants in clair obscur.
Viola Groenhart has graduated form the Rietveld Academy this year and was nominated for the GRA award and the René Coelho Prijs 2007.

Regen / Chris Brans / 2007 / 3 min.
With this film, about the (mental) wherabouts and actions of a multidisciplined artist, Chris Brans won the ArtOlive prize for the best Dutch Art academy graduate in 2007.
On the question what he wants to tell the public with his work he states:
“I’m trying to find out myself what there is to tell. Sometimes I think there is nothing to tell and that is then what I try to express.”

Charismatic Fates & Vanishing Dates / Sara Rajaei / 2006 / 3 min.
In this work Rajari has tried to break the border of real and un-real. The timing and the act is nothing unusual but the way things are completing one another makes us realize we are not viewing reality.
Sara Rajaei studied at Tehran’s University and the Royal Arts Academy in Den Haag.

Arrangement voor Ampelmannen / Michiel van de Weerthof / 2006 / 1 min.
The symphonic qualities of crossing a street.

It’s a gift.
Gonny Jüngst graduated Cum Laude from the Art Academy in Tilburg with her dancefilm “Under Construction” in a co-operation with choreographer/dancer Batja Ten Kortenaar. This combination of film and dance appear to be her main challenge. She developed numerous film- en theatre projects, aiming to melt the two disciplines (or more) into one shape.

Interferenze / Zoe D’Amaro / 2007 / 12 min.
INTERFERENZE: TV Pirates or fighters for freedom of expression? In our so-called democratic countries, is there space for a concrete exercise of such inviolable right?
